Since I've started my business I have been given the opportunity to see into so many different people's lives. I've met some really amazing people, and when I was asked to photograph this family, I didn't know what a treat I was getting.
The whole family hadn't been together in over ten years, but every last child came together for a family reuinion. The mom and dad of this family were both deaf, and it was so neat to see the family interacting through a language I didn't understand, and how great the kids were at helping to translate so that I could understand--I truly value good communication and it was neat to see that this family had to learn that from their beginnings, and to see the results of what they've produced truly touched my heart.
Mom requested a photo from above (they had a gorgeous home/yard/2-story balcony) of all of them laying in a circle with mom/dad in the center. I just love the meaning behind this photo.
