Anna Bridals | Utah Bridal Photographer

Not only was Anna a beautiful bride, but she was totally willing to go with the flow. We started out at the Grand America, but quickly got kicked out (apparently now they charge a fee--I promise we asked first--just not the right person, I guess)! So, we had to figure out where else to do her bridals, and fast. We ended up doing a few at Little America and then heading to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Anna was upbeat the entire time, and such a natural.
Thanks to Kelli for asking me to come along (and letting me take over! ;)

Wedding pictures to come soon!

AubMarie Productions

I'm so excited to announce that I'm going to be offering package add-ons with Aubrey of Aub Marie Productions. She is an awesome videographer and I've been very impressed with the work she's done so far. These are perfect add-ons for all of my brides out there. Her packages can be added on to any of your engagement, bridal, or wedding sessions (one or all!). Contact me for pricing.

In addition, we offering something really fun for family and child sessions! You all know how quickly children grow, and I tell you all the time how important it is to capture those stages before they pass. Well now you can add on a video package that will give you the opportunity to capture their sweet little voices, those sweet little quirks, and your relationships along with images that you will cherish forever. Family video package add-ons are only $150 and cover Aubrey's time at our session and a custom DVD set to music. Your DVD will also include several of the images from our session as well. Add-on is only available with pre-purchase of package, or with a pre-paid $250 toward al-a-carte prints.

Baby R | Utah Newborn Photographer

Aww...sweet newborns. I love photographing newborns. LOVE IT. They are so new and so precious and SO close to heaven. And photographing baby R reminded me (as if I wanted or needed one) of how fast these little ones grow. My baby was HUGE compared to baby R. I loved getting to snuggle with her for a couple of hours.

They are only this small and curly for a couple of weeks. So if you are expecting, contact me now to set up a tentative appointment. Newborns are best photographed in their first 10 days.

What to Wear | Utah Family Photographer

So I understand how intimidating it can be when trying to figure out what to wear for family pictures. I've had many clients ask me what they should wear, and I often put together several different 'looks' to give them an idea. I thought it might be a fun idea to share them with you to get your mind thinking about what you could wear for your own family session! So, here's the first look: (more to come!)

And, don't forget to book your fall session! There are only a few dates available. Click here to see my fall specials.

Constitution Day

I thought you might be interested to know that my dad is speaking at the Davis County Constitution Day celebration this Thursday. Here's a link to the flyer.

My dad is a wonderful speaker and has been passionate about our country, history and the founding fathers for much of his life. He's written/co-written numerous books on our founding fathers and our country, that have recently regained a great deal of popularity, and have even made Amazon's top seller list (5000 Year Leap). He served as the President of the National Center for Constitutional Studies for many years, and has served on local councils of a political nature. He is an inspiration to listen to, and you cannot help but feel the power of his words. As our country is changing shape so quickly, I see that many have taken a greater stand politically, and have really felt the desire to become more educated and more involved. Hopefully this will be an avenue that you can use, or share with your family, to feel the spirit of what it means to be an American, no matter your political party.

Hope to see you there!

The Give Initiative

It's easy to get caught up in our own lives, and to take what we have for granted. I know during the holiday season the mood strikes many of us to give to others. Our family tries to give Christmas to a deserving family every year. Sometimes this means we buy gifts. Sometimes we give money. Sometimes we do it anonymously and sometimes not.

But do you ever think that it would be nice to give to other people sometime during the year? When other people forget about it?

How many times have you heard a story of someone you know, or don't know, and thought to yourself, "I wish there was something that I could do to help." But you didn't want to intrude, or butt in? You didn't know how best to help? You felt like what you had to give was not quite enough, and didn't want to feel shamed that it wasn't more? I know I have felt this way many times.

The Give Initiative is an incredible, non-profit company that allows you to give to others. Anonymously. You simply tell them who you'd like to contribute to, and they make it happen. ALL. YEAR. ROUND. Isn't this an amazing concept? But if you feel like giving, and don't know who could use some help, they have a solution for that too.

Head on over and check them out. See what they are about, and hey, if you can, give a little something.

Anna and Adam Engagements | Utah Wedding Photographer

When Kelli called to ask if I could shoot with her for Anna and Adam's engagements I agreed, because I always enjoy shooting with my friends, but I didn't realize how fun Anna and Adam would be. First of all they are gorgeous, but they were both so up for whatever we asked of them. We had a great time.

When I saw this box in a cement wall, I knew I wanted to get the ring here. But it was too tall for me. Luckily Kelli was tall enough (barely!) to get it!
