Moody

I never believed the people that told me girls were fundamentally different from boys in the way that they behaved; at least not until puberty and all of the hormones hit. I believed up until then boys and girls would essentially behave the same, with deviations existing only in their true nature.
I was wrong.
Really wrong.
When Sophia was born she would cry at the smallest sounds that startled her.
She still does.
And there is something that is so much more nurturing and tender in her than in my boys. More complicated in many ways. I watch her view her world in shades of gray, and not in the black and white that my boys tend to. I see her reacting because she feels sad, where the boys react feeling angry and even aggressive at times. But not Sophia. She sees her world in ways that amaze me, she takes care of things in her own way--the boys still rely on mom to do many of the same things for them.
It definitely makes life interesting--and I love the dynamic it brings to our home and our family. Sophia generally wakes up quite happy, but sometimes she just has mornings like this--I think the picture says it all.
