Wedding

On Saturday I got to shoot my first wedding! I was excited and nervous at the same time. D had her wedding at a clubhouse off of Wasatch and there were the most beautiful grounds surrounding the clubhouse (think waterfalls, an incredible overlook with breathtaking views-and at sunset no less, gorgeous vegetation, etc). When I first met up with D to look at it, I was literally jumping inside that she was having her wedding on such beautiful grounds....well, the weather had a different plan for us that day! It ended up raining and we had to move inside the clubhouse instead. It was still very pretty, but there was virtually no light and it was small! So difficult circumstances...but we did what we could to work around it.


It was a beautiful ceremony and the love between the family and friends was so thick you could nearly hold it in your hands.


It was such a cool experience to be a part of, and so different than my typical sessions. I enjoyed my time, but will be proofing these like crazy for some time now!

Those that know me, really know me, know that I LOVE music... love, love, love music. Well, perhaps the rest of the world already knew this, but I just discovered that Toni Collette (yes, that Toni Collette) has a band. WHA???

Guess who I got to photograph last night? Yep, my new cover model and here's a sneak peek of this little cutie! D and H is was great to meet you!! D is such a cutie and just the sweetest little girl. I've only started proofing these and I've got to run some errands this morning, but hope to have these finished up for you later today.

The Baby Bump

Here are some more from the newborn session this last weekend. Baby S wanted nothing to do with the camera or being unwrapped, but I snuck a few without him knowing ;)

Mom also wanted some of her other little guy too...he was a real go-getter, such a chatterbox and such a smart little fellow. He loved all things train and I love the ones of him playing with his trains because it's very much HIM!

Just One

It's been a crazy busy weekend...I've been making peach jam and syrup (thanks for the peaches Darla!), still need to get to making the salsa and canning some peppers, I had two sessions yesterday, then took the family to see our friend's band Calico (check them out and show some love--they are amazing musicians) and we have company for dinner tonight, but, I had to share just one from session yesterday morning. I hope to get to proofing the rest tonight or in the morning, so you'll get to see more soon.
Of course it ahd to be feet...you know me:)

HOLIDAY SPECIAL!!!

Okay, it's seriously time to think about the holidays, they are coming up so quickly. If you are anything like me, they sneak up on you before you know. There is SO much to do and every year it seems like there is so much less time to do it than the year before. Every year I get my holiday cards put together in just the nick of time...but I wanted to save myself, and you, from that worry this year.

I will be holding two days of mini sessions. Each family (up to 5 people) will get 1/2 hour mini session, but there are only 6 slots open each day. The first day will be October 20 from 9 am - 12 pm and the next will be November 10 from 2 pm - 5 pm. The spectacular deal you'll get?? $150 will pay for your session fee, 1 8x10, 2 5x7's and 25 flat press printed cards (printing will be on front and back, discounts available on additional packs of 25 cards). I was so excited when a mom from my cover model contest contacted me to do pictures of this little cutie...when she had first sent me his picture I thought he had the most beautiful eyes...well, it's true--isn't he adorable? It's an overload, but one you'll enjoy ;)

Sweet Family

I had the great opportunity to have a session with this sweet family at their home over the weekend. They've been renovating an older home and have done such a fantastic job (we totally had the same taste:), and their backyard landscaping was just gorgeous! The kids were just beautiful little creatures and so so sweet! Here are just some of my favorites from the session.
