Last week I had the opportunity to meet with the Goldman family and do some extended family pictures up Mueller Park. I had an absolute blast. They were all laid back and at such ease in front of the camera, which made my job that much better. These guys were so fun to observe and they love the fun in each other...note the picture of Dustin holding Miles up in the air with Cami behind...well the parents of the family, Larry and Diane, thought it would be fun to do the same pose. Yes, you'll see that below too. I love when clients are laid back and willing to just play around.

Stephanie and Jamie Wedding
Remember the ooey-gooey, sugary sweet LOVE of Stephanie and Jamie? Their wedding was no exception, except that the love extended from them to all that attended. What an amazing family of friends these two people have. I just love getting that little view into other peoples' lives. Their vows were tender and fully felt. They even danced and giggled after they were married as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. There are so many more pictures I'd love to share, but i know Stephanie is getting anxious to see a few, so maybe I'll put some more up another time. Congrats!!

Spencer
This is my little brother, Spencer. He was born just after me in birthorder. His best friend recently got married and since they hired me as the photographer, I got to join in the fun! My mom told me I'd better get one of him because she has NO pictures of him to put up on the wall with the rest of her kids' pictures. So he was good about it and let me sit him down and take a pic.
What I love about him? He is so tender-hearted and always the optimist. He's dealt with struggles in his life and has pushed hard to work through them, and is still trying. He trusts people and always wants to see the best in them. He loves fun and has a great sense of humor. I really look up to him (literally (he's like 6'2" or something) and figuratively). I am so proud of how hard he works and the positive outlook he has on life. And maybe he'll kill me for saying so, but ladies, he's single, and he plays a mean game of pool. ;)
I'll post wedding pics soon, but had to post this one of Spencer for my family.

Art
I had the awesome opportunity to take some pictures last week of a local artist's work as she is preparing to get her website up and going. It was different from anything I've done before, but I had fun. I've just started going through the pictures, but wanted to share a few of my favorites up front. I'll make sure to update my blog with her web address once it's ready. The first two are portraits of the artist, Becky Boren.

I'm back and Open and FALL SPECIAL!
I'm back from my fabulous getaway with my hubby. We went to Vegas to see KA by Cirque du Soleil (so amazing!) and to Cedar to the Shakesperean Festival. We went out on a limb and something NOT by Shakespeare--in fact, we saw Fiddler on the Roof, which was also quite fun!
Anyway, I'm rejuvinated. And now I have a house to clean.
I just had session open up on September 27. If interested, let me know!
And, for the fall special...if you have a session in September or October, I'm offering one free digital file for you to use with your holiday cards! And book your session now, I will be offering only a limited number of sessions in November and December.
